Im not sure but i do not think AVG has a http scanner. If you are going to get AVG, you should get AVG antimalware or the security suite.

Currently no AVG product contains any HTTP scanner. But AVG Anti-Malware is still a very good product. ;)

A question for the AVG experts. I know that AVG scans incoming/outgoing POP3 e-mail. When I tried it using Outlook Express, there would be the "AVG has scanned this e-mail" message at the bottom of e-mails. I use IncrediMail, and there was no AVG message in IncrediMail e-mails. I was never sure if AVG was scanning e-mails when using IncrediMail.

Does AVG scan e-mails sent and received through IncrediMail? Is there somewhere in AVG, the GUI, the AVG folder, that lists the number of e-mails scanned? I liked AVG, but for this one reason, I decided not to use it.

im 99% sure it will still scan the emails, however... sometimes with avg, you wont see the avg scanning email icon, and sometimes your messages wont have that message at the bottom, but i do believe it still scans them.
