AVG 2011 Anti-Virus LinkScanner Software Conflicts?

I have upgraded from AVG Anti-Virus 2009 Software to the AVG Anti-Virus 2011 Software.

I now have problems with my Internet Explorer 8 working properly with several of the Internet Web Sites such as the Android AppBrain Website, etc.

The problem is with the AVG 2011 Anti-Virus Software LinkScanner Module's Enable Surf-Shield Menu Item.

When the LinkScanner Enable Surf-Shield Menu Item Option is Enabled I have the conflicts where the Internet Explorer 8 does not work properly with several of the Internet Web Sites.

The Internet Explorer 8 only works properly when I disable the LinkScanner Enable Surf-Shield.

As a second option the Apple Safari Web Browser does work with all of the Internet Web Sites whether the LinkScanner Enable Surf-Shield is Enabled or not.

Any ideas?

seems you are not the only ones having a problem with link scanner and the avg toolbar

How does AVG expect to fix bugs, if they don't even have a forum for the paid products, and don't even go at the free one?

Fixing bugs from the free versions, will also fix them in their paid products. Blah.

 

As far as I am aware they now have staff watching the free forum.

 

Well, if that's the case, then it's great. Finally.

 

I must have lucked out. I've got Free running on three XP systems with no issues whatsoever.
