    avast WinRAR integration...?

    Hi;

    Want to ask how can I integrate avastPro to scan files inside WinRAR? Avira has a tweak to allow scanning inside WINRAR so I guess maybe avast can also be or is capable of scanning within WinRAR...

    Any ideas here?....

    Thanks!

    Just look at expert settings of file shield, search for archives, do the same for general settings of the main gui.

    Hi guys;

    Thanks for the replies. Would like to scan from within WinRAR...

    Well haven't used command line scanner but I'll try it. As for the expert settings it's already done. Okay will get back here to report again.

    Thank!

    If you mean the "Scan archive for viruses" feature of WinRAR, you can enter the path to ashQuick.exe executable (located in avast! installation fodler) into the "Virus scanner name" box, and the usual "%f" (including quotes) as the "Virus scanner parameters".

    If any malware is found inside the tested archive, you'll get a message (but just one, even if multiple infected files are inside).
