    Using Avast4.

Why does it keep creating so many temp files starting with JET. Is it not possible for the program to clean these out after use. The temp folder is going to fill up very quickly with all these.

It also creates its own temp subfolder and then not uses it to keep them. They go in the main temp folder and the subfolder is left empty. Why is this.

If the program used the subfolder it created to dump its temps then it would be easy to clean them out every week or so with a single folder delete. Can a path be changed somewhere to rectify all these happenings.

    Thanks,

It seems this is a known issue over on the Avast forum.

Maybe some code will be included in the next build to delete these temps.

Some files are auto deleted after the scan.

Yep, maybe they can improve something on this...

We will wait for the reply on the avast! forum ;)

    Thanks,

I just seen the thread over there. I've changed the database to XML as suggesed in the reply and I did a temp folder clean out with reboot. This has fixed the problem with no more JET temps being created. I still get the Avast subfolder created which for now is empty so I'll leave that for now to see if anything gets dropped in there. Using WINME here.
