Great job Avira with 0 FPs. Good job Trend Micro. If only their AV was more user friendly. And their support stinks.

It is not cheap so they carefully choose which tests are they going to participate in....
You can check their score at VB100 and AV-Comparatives.
BTW, I would also like to see Emsi get tested here.

Focusing too much on marketing and unnecessary component, Grimefighter, dropbox and forgot to develop their Dyna-Gen, Evo-gen. Time for them to pull their act together. Wonder why avast needs a marketing team when their users are doing a good job marketing for them. The huge investment they received recently should be enough for them to stop focusing on unnecessary stuff and get their act back together.

Jeez, just how much are G-Data paying to look good in the zero-day tests? It just doesn't make sense why they should do much better in the AV-Test version than the AV-Comparatives one otherwise.

McAfee has been improving and maybe Intel will boost that...just evaluate without biases. The normal strong results and Comodo seems too be making a consistent showing. Thanks for posting FleischmannTV.:thumb:

avast has been having stability issues for some time now and their scores are therefore suffering for some time.

Avast tanked again...what's the excuse this time?

Probably here is one "We did a big mistake by wasting money on unwanted crap and trying to fill out pockets rather than protecting our users."

Stop fooling us avast developers...I have removed avast permanently from my list of AV's and no longer recommending it.Shifted all clients to paid suits.

Sorry avast fanboys but hard luck.

I actually wanted to badmouth AVG, but I think this thread has been pretty warm already. :D

Anyway, congrats to Avira for their perfect Usability Test score. :thumb:

I am nearly 100% sure it's not because other products. I don't think that avast! would intentionally remove developers from avast! AV products development to others (Secureline, Grime Fighter etc). These products have their own team and shouldn't have anything to do with low detection rates (in tests) recently.

Still, it makes you wonder what the hell is going on. This isn't an isolated case as the track record has dropped significantly lately. I mean, the drop from excellent 97% to just horrible 90% is just shocking and i frankly can't understand it.

Wow! That is quite an indictment. Never thought I'd see the day.
