Product named "Unknown 3.0"? Is this an error?
    Or some confidentiality issues?
But then why having screenshots of Mcafee Mobile Security? :)

Most results where a bit in line with what to expect, only Webroot scores a bit low.(And AFAIK and doesn't have the advanced features/protection of the PC version which makes it better in real-life compared to testing environments/methods.)

Hope you had a nice meal :p

I think it is some error and it is supposed to be McAfee, if it were confidentiality issues it would be more logical to called it Unnamed Product or at least just Unknown instead of Unknown 3.0

    Nice! :D
    Avast did great.
I wonder why it got 5.5 instead of 6 if it detected the 100% of the threats? Same with others such as Trendmicro.

As usual the scores are out of whack with the actual % results.

@Noob: Bet its rounding, bet avast and other vendors actually got ~99.999998% or similar vein score. If it doesn't get the full 100% it just gets a 5.5.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH now i get it.
They should not round it then, 2 decimals would be perfect.

I just installed 360 Mobile Security, which is Qihoo's English language Android security app, and scanning of my 272 apps is very quick indeed. Hopefully the detection is as good as for 360 Mobile Safe.

Tried out Avast, and I'm liking it. Too bad lots of features require root, which I avoid.

Yeah, Avast! works flawlessly unlike Kaspersky.
I used to think Kaspersky was good but then it started to crash on me very very frequently, waited a couple months and after many updates it was still doing the same thing, my phone was stock and not rooted.

Changed to Avast! and i love it. Lots of features and very handy. Web interface + SMS Commands. :D

Regarding the firewall and root access requirement, perhaps you guys can look into how Mobiwol NoRoot Firewall did it using "VPN packaging module" as a workaround.

Here's what they say on their homepage

    There's also this: https://developer.android.com/reference/android/net/VpnService.html

    Source: https://www.techsupportalert.com/fr...irewall-for-non-rooted-devices.html#post84248

I am not sure if the workaround is good/secure enough but it's better than nothing I guess. It would be nice if Avast can implement the same for non-root Android users (make it optional). Just saying...

It doesn't really answer anything I didn't know, but Avast is still the best one I tried so far. Heck, surprised myself with uninstall protection that doesn't disable the feature altogether (like iOS Restrictions).

So don't worry about me switching, I'm loving it :D.
