AV-C Real-World Protection Test July-August 2020

    Thanks, interesting stuff. This indeed shows just how good the signatures database and behavior blocking is of all of these AV's. But what I meant is that I don't like it that AV's are connected to the cloud all of the time, who knows what type of files they are uploading.

    You would think and hope that by now, AV's wouldn't even need the cloud to block malware. And BTW, Win Defender did a pretty bad job with a 70% offline detection and a 85% online detection rate. I don't get it, then how come it's so good at blocking malware in most other tests?

    Because the other AV labs tests including the AV-C real-time test run it at default configuration. This mean its cloud protection via MotW triggering is enabled.
