Hi Everyone i have recently upgraded to Windows 10 x 64 bit (from Win 7) and find that I hampered by the mandatory Auromatic Updates in Win 10. Looking on the web there appear to be a number of registry based solutions but none that I have been able to get working. I simply want to be alerted when updates are available and then choose when to download them. Can anybody advise me of a working solution. I have, as of tody the latest Win 10 operating system update. Thanks Terry
In Pro version you can use Gpedit to configure Windows 10 updates, but I don't know if this is possible to achieve in Home version.
No group policy editor in the home version. The registry has to be set manually. The other option I can think of is O&O shutup which can completely disable automatic updates and might be able to switch the download options.
Didn't Microsoft have a tool too? I thought there was one mentioned in this thread (somewhere). - https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/windows-10-announced-released-29-jul-2015.368734/
