I have a laptop with this executable running. Research shows that it may be malware. Should I get rid of this and if so can our EST NOD32 AV take care of it. Thank you.
Please submit it to ESET as per the instructions here. You can also submit it to VirusTotal to see if other AVs detect it. However, don't draw any conclusions from the results. If a file is detected by a large number of AVs it does not make it malicious. Likewise, if a file is not detected by any of the AVs it does not make it benign. As a preventive measure you can rename the file and restart the computer. Should it later turn out to be a benign file you will be able to rename it back.
