It's in any case a very steep price rise. From 19 to 39 US dollars... wow...

It was actually originally US$39. There is a drop from USD39 to 19 some time before and is now up again...:'(

    Hi Guys,

That's correct, the original RRP has been restored and I plan to leave the pricing on OA alone now.

There are some interesting things coming up soon - the firewall is in early alpha and the kernel mode driver is finally done, but not yet integrated into OA.

I have a standalone prototype of the firewall engine if anyone would like to play with it go register over at our forums and request beta access - it's a basic port/proto inbound/outbound protection... not what the final release will be, but still quite cool.

So the 'extra' things will be added to OA at no extra cost than the 39 dollar?

Yes. The way Online Armor licencing works is very straightforward...

You buy the licence. This means you can use OA forever.

If you elect to take a subscription (a years subscription is included in the purchase price) then you get all updates, including program updates, major version updates.

With respect to the firewall - this will be a free extension to both Online Armor and Online Armor AV+. Kernel mode OA will simply replace the existing mechanisms with a Kernel mode driver in the first instance, then will implement a bit more "fruit" afterwards.

If interested, you can get it at the former price, with the COUPON CODE "EEEK" - working until 15th july ;) .

That'll teach me to take more care when I update the homepage from home instead of letting Ben do it!

    Fixed now!

The whole data center is offline. Time to find new hosting arrangements, I think.

Just tried it this morning and getting a socket error trying to get to the licensing server and the main Tall Emu site isn't there, either...........so it looks like it's down again.

:( There have been two datacentre-level outages in the last 24h, both of which lasted by my reckoning over an hour :(

Requests for pricing have been put in at a new hosting company that offers 24h onsite support (instead of 24h on-call support).
