Attackers Disguise Macro Malware by Renaming Files

    As best as I can determine from the article, this vulnerability will get around the default setting of macros being disabled:

    Also worth noting is all downloaded Word docs. open in protected view which protects you from macro and other malware as long as you say in that mode. However, there are ways using phishing to try to trick the user into opening the doc. outside of protected mode as noted here: https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com...-can-block-macros-and-help-prevent-infection/
