I have a licensed ATI 7 and a disk image of a Seagate drive made with DiskWizard, which is rebranded ATI 10. If I install DiskWizard for the purpose of restoring that image to a new Seagate drive, will it ruin my existing ATI 7, or will I still be able to use ATI 7 for my non-Seagate drives?

I believe as long as you have at least one seagate drive you can use discwizard to back any other hard drives as well. So you don't really need ati 7.

    Hello fixmypcmike,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please note that as farmerlee noted you can use DiscWizard to back up/restore other drives as well. Seagate or Maxtor device should be installed in your system in order to install the product.

Please also be aware that since Seagate DiscWizard is based on the version Acronis True Image, which uses different (new) engine, we cannot guarantee that installation of Acronis True Image 7.0 and Seagate DiscWizard on the same machine at the same time will keep Acronis True Image 7.0 functionality.

    Thank you.

The problem is that the Seagate drive is not for my computer. I have the disk image of the defunct Seagate drive and the blank new drive, but I need to install DiskWizard in order to create boot CD's to restore the image. After that, the Seagate drive will be in a different computer.

Download the V10 trial edition and create a boot CD. The trial edition boot CD can only do restores.

    Hello fixmypcmike,

In this case you could follow thomasjk advice and use the free trial version of Acronis True Image 10.0 Home.

In addition, since you already own the license of Acronis True Image 7.0 (one of the previous version of Acronis True Image 10.0 Home) you can purchase Acronis True Image 10.0 Home at a discounted rate. Please visit Acronis online store in order to purchase the upgrade.

Seagate DiscWizard can also be upgrade to Acronis True Image 10.0 Home. Follow this link to get the upgrade.

    Thank you.
