Just never understood how a program named A Shampoo could spanned over so many previous Windows versions and long YEARS and still cranking out their product with that name. So, what is in a name?
I could be wrong, but I think Ashampoo is just a US rebrading of German products. For example, Ashampoo Office is just a rebraded SoftMaker Office.
You have to hand it to them. Maybe as far back as Windows 95, but Windows 98 for certain they been right in the mix with the best of them.
I use Ashampoo Office 8. Works for me. Don't know about the Excel part though. And a 5 user lifetime license was $20.

Ashampoo Office 8 is nice. I use it along with WPS Office. Both are compatible with M$ Office with WPS having the edge. Ashampoo backup. I don't know about their current version. Ashampoo Backup Pro 16 was the slowest of any backup software I've ever tried. It took a full hour to back up 54 G of data. Totally unacceptable as far as I'm concerned, even though I could work on the machine while the backup was running.

Wow what a bummer, I was just about to download it since I didn't like SoftMaker FreeOffice. WPS and Libre Office also suck.
They write just about all of their software. Other than Ashampoo Office, the only other program I can think of is Ashampoo Driver Updater, which is a rebrand of an Indian driver update tool.
Using a NAS to store th backup. However, when trying to recover, I get "There was an error accessing the storage space: a specified login session does not exist. PLease verify that the user name and password you entered are correct. NAS is located at 192.168.x.x When I look at the completed backup, location is stated as \\192.168.x.x\g\Ashampoo\C_Test. This is correct when queried from rescue media (startup on USB drive) I get the message above and cannot access the backup. User name and password is correct.
