Are there any Eset Firewall experts willing to help tighten this FW?

    Hi gang,

I recently purchased Eset Internet Security. I'm looking for help to learn how to set this FW up properly other than the default because I plan on staying with Eset. Tired of jumping around changing. I've never been an expert but I would love to learn.

    Thank you in advance.

I assume you want to monitor outbound connections? Best way to do that is set the firewall to training mode for a while and then open all your Internet facing apps. Also do a Win Update check, etc.. After a couple of boot cycles, then set the Firewall to Interactive mode.

Assuming your not a corp. as far as IDS settings go, disable anything related to Access To Admin Shares.

Actually, Eset's default Network settings are pretty good. Of course that means the firewall in Automatic mode will allow all outbound connections from apps.
