I am still having problems with popups on my system every 10 minutes. I have run the 'General Cleaning' on my system and put a HJK on another forum - but to no avail! Can anybody help - what avenues are avilable to me?

Can you ellaborate a bit on the popups, do they happen instantly, or only on certain websites?

What were the results from your HJT Log when you posted it?

    Cheers :D

The popups appear on the screen instantly every 10 minutes. They lead to a website called "instantsearch" and I think they're linked to "searchmaid" (?). After I posted the HJT file, I checked every day but noone responded to it - so I assumed that there was nothing obvious there! Other than that I can't say; the first time I ran through the 'cleaning process' I came up with two trojans that couldn't be deleted but on the second and third clean they didn't appear: they were TROJ_194A (twice) and TROJ_DELF.CB.

Sorry I can't give you anymore information!

OK, your system is not clean, where did you post your HJT Log?

I would suggest posting it at http://castlecops.com/forum67.html and following the advice given by one of their Spyware Fighters when they pick up your post.

Let us know how you go...

    Cheers :D

HJT was posted at "SpywareInfo.com". Should I go through the 22+ step cleaning again and then post or just post a HJT file?

    Thanks again.

Just post a log at the link I provided to Castlecops, they should get you sorted, and once so, come back and we'll walk you through your security to make sure you don't end up in the same boat again.

    Cheers :D

    Thanks Blackspear and Bubba.

I followed the correct procedures for Castlecops and now waiting for a reply. Moreover, followed your lead Bubba (through Tech Support Guy) and it seems to have got rid of the popups. I only have to make sure that the 'msmsgs.exe' and/or 'msmsg.exe' aren't on my system.

Would like to know HOW to keep my system clean - if anything can be done because I am in need of it being connected to the net for about 10-12 hrs a day!

Anyway, thanks again you guys ... your assistance it greatly appreciated.

Once your system is confirmed as clean through Castlecops, you may want to take a look HERE for a guide to various setups. As well there are discussions HERE and even more HERE.

    Hope this helps...

Let us know how you go.
