I know the U.S. prices aren't as high as other countries and we "have no room to complain"...yadda yadda

But, yes gas prices are ridiculous. Climbing almost $1 a gallon in the last 2 months.

This is about to be my mode of transportation:

Help me out on this. Do you know why? Is it something there or just general world consumption price pressures. :doubt:

Is it all shipped in refined and ready to go into the cars or are you short refinerys like the USA is?

I think that many countries need to make a move towards a more stable source of energy. Think about the Hybrid cars that are out there; electricity and gasoline. There was a step in the right direction. Then POW, we're hit with the Hummer. Drive the car the military drives, run over small animals: be a true american.

What happened to the electric idea? i thought that was decent. I agree that its not exactly convienient since you will not find a power station for it on major highways in the united states, or any other countries for that matter. It was still a good idea.

Why not run cars on beer? It appears americans have a lot of that here, plus i like budweiser comercials over car comercials :D

It would be a miracle if the American consumer would ever be willing to trade the power and speed of gas powered vehicles for the slower electric cars, or even Hybreds for that matter, that can't travel as far without recharging. A good part of the driving infrastructure is going to have to change before anything like that happens. What's a charging station in America anyways, and who would want to wait?
