    Hi,

I have a question about the version number of the Archive support module.

Reason for asking is that I see a difference between what Ron posted in the Update-forum-section and what I have.

    1. Ron :

Ron has version (according to his screenshot): 1064 (2007092:cool:
I don't know which version of NOD or ESS Ron is using there (maybe one of the recent Release Candidates).

    2. I have :

    NOD32 antivirus system information
Virus signature database version: 2558 (2007092:cool:
    Dated: vrijdag 28 september 2007
    Virus signature database build: 10879

Information on other scanner support parts
Advanced heuristics module version: 1.066 (20070917)
    Advanced heuristics module build: 1167
    Internet filter version: 1.002 (2004070:cool:
    Internet filter build: 1013
Archive support module version: 1.058 (20070906)
Archive support module build version: 1196

    Information about installed components
    NOD32 For Windows NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista/x64 - Base
    Version: 2.70.39
    NOD32 For Windows NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista/x64 - Internet support
    Version: 2.70.39
    NOD32 for Windows NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista/x64 - Standard component
    Version: 2.70.39

    =====

What is causing the difference between the version numbers of the Archive support module?

The screenshot is from the RC1 beta. They are different. Sorry for the confusion.

You are comparing NOD32 v2 with ESS, that's why you see the discrepancy. Each uses different update files that are not mutually compatible.

Your v2 is really up to date .

About the difference , the screenshot is from v3 RC1 and they are different products . In case v2 needs such update , ESET will push it right away :thumb:

OK, thanks Ron, Marcos, Hi_Techboy !

Your answers confirm what I was thinking, but I wanted to be sure ;)

Question answered, case closed as far as I'm concerned ;)

    Cheers, Jan.
