Of course, ArcaVir 2005. Has daily updates, is really light, has excellent interface and excellent features for only USD29!

It also has excellent support and excellent heuristics.

That is a tough one to pick, but I have taken sides with GData AVK 2005 and quite confident about the decision. ArcaVir is a little less of an impact on performance than AVK, but I like the dual engine safety when only a little heavier footprint. :D

They both are very different products... You can't really compare them with eachother...

Compare Arcavir with: NOD32, F-Prot... And compare AVK with: Kaspersky, Bitdefender, F-Secure...

If you want an AV with a good peformance/detection it's Acravir, if you want superb protection, with some more recource use choose AVK :)

I like Arcavir. I have yet to find anything it conflicts with or prevents from running right. Its one of the few AV's I feel confident that I can burn CD's and DVD's and leave the AV running. It never, ever, interfers with gaming like most AV's seem to do.

Thats worth its weight in gold to me.

With added protection of a Registry Monitor, Arcavir 2005 wins my decision!
The support has been superb ever since I used their first mks_vir 2004 in the U.S. Market. Runs quietly in my 1.5g 512ram laptop with no noticeable slowdowns.

Their viral/malware database has been quite impressive at Jotti's recently.

That reminds me, I first heard of MKS/Arcavir from a guy named Kobra who was running MKS/Arca polish version and testing it a couple years ago. His AV test was mirrored on my home site by another user. (OverclockersUK OCUK)

So I will give credit where credit is due. This is a great AV.
