A Google search brought me to this topic https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=338319 about Application Virtualization but it's too old to add a post.

Which one of the Application Virtualization programs will allow virtualization for a group of related executables including some that run as a service. I would like to run a Windows service and its client application together so I can test different versions of the same application on a computer.

I don't want to go to full computer virtualization like VirtualBox due to all the overhead and the need for an extra Windows license.

    Thanks for the help

I use Symantec Workspace Virtualization which is excellent for running multiple versions of programs at the same time,or normally conflicting applications.Packages can be configured to be invisible to other layers or the Operating System if required.

You can get it here, just go to trialware,it's free for personal use.
