    Hi, Frederic,
Currently, I am running a ftp server (xlight) and finding that if I block ALL ip addresses in application filter, I can still connect to my server from another computer.
So, does this mean that the restrictions of IPs/ports in application filter tab are only applied to 'client connections' (originated from the application)?

    Hi nuser,

Yes, this dialog box is only to configure the port/IP for client mode connection.

For server mode, everything can be done directly in the packet filter (internet filtering), and you can associate the rule to the application.
The situation is different for server mode because only one application at a time can listen to a given port.

    Regards,

    Frederic
