It's easy when you don't pay taxes. They haven't had anything new since the iPhone. And the iPad/Apple watch are just larger and smaller versions of the same.

The TV news today made a special rave that people are willing to dish out the 700 USD + dollars for their iPhone which accounts for a good degree of their popularity. I don't know what new information besides that they task to drive up such a huge buildup to where they seem to getting real close to now except that they obviously seem to have the numbers in their favor.

The iPhone X 256 GB is $1149.99. I'm very unhappy they have made this the new normal. A Galaxy Note 8 costs $950 now, because they have gotten away with it. I can buy a good (not great) laptop for half.

Outrageous to be sure, however, a point was made to the WHY folks opt for the more expensive Apple iPhones, and they equated it (or at least explained it) with the analogy, "what would be more important to you, losing your wallet-purse or smartphone"

Problem solved when you have no money left in your wallet-purse because you spent it all on a smartphone. :argh:

Enter Amazon for us thrifty types-purchase an Android flagship from whatever vendor floats the boat-for me it was Mate 2, and escape the hype & yikes price but still hold an adequate enough smartphone with in fact much longer battery life which is what interests thrifty techies most anyway. :D

But it's not like Apple owns 1 trillion, I've read that they have about 260 billion dollars on the bank, and this could be used for takeovers for example. But when you think about, they could solve a lot of problems in the world, now this cash just sits there doing nothing, what a strange world we live in.
