Apple Safari for Windows

Is there an add-on like AdBlockPlus?

 

safari is a fast browser, its 'much' faster on my machine than any of the others, and always has been.

2nd for speed is firefox, then opera then IE.

my choice at the moment, is firefox due to addons and customizations, but if i was after pure browsing speed, Safari wins easily.

What do you think about the blurred font in Safari?

 

Interestingly, Safari doesn't support DNS prefetching and HTTP pipelining, while IE, Firefox, Chrome and Opera all support one or the other, or both. Safari is fast at Javascript, but whatever advantage that confers is nullified by it eating up >200MB RAM and 50% CPU on my machine.

Many common shortcuts are also broken on Windows, and you can't define custom search engines. Is Safari really "faster" when I have to manually visit the Wikipedia website to perform a search, something which I can do in other browsers in one or two keystrokes? I doubt it.

 

So you can't recommend Safari, am I right?

 

Certainly doesn't sound like I'm recommending it, does it?

I have it installed, but it's more for the novelty rather than its quality.
