This year will become very interesting for Apple. I especially wonder about the new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro that will come with the M2 chip. I'm guessing they won't be cheap. But in Q4 2021 sales of Mac computers was about $10 billion, impressive stuff. It's also funny, that in almost every movie that I watch you will always get to see MacBooks, I wonder if Apple pays them for this LOL.

I must say that I was not impressed by the new MacBook Air M2, it's way too expensive, no exiting new colours and no 15 inch model. Not to forget, I freaking hate the ugly webcam notch, Apple should hire new designers. So I will stay with my Windows based laptops who offer more bang for the buck, depending on what you search for in a laptop.

I have to say that when it comes to pricing, Apple should be ashamed, with $200 billion on the bank, a revenue of $360 billion and a profit of about $100 billion, they really shouldn't price consumer based laptops this high, or at least give better specs for the cheapest model. It's pure greed, to hell with them!

I don't get it, how does this solve anything? Perhaps you can post a pic? It's just horrible design, let's face it. I don't think I will ever switch to the Mac, not at these ridiculous high prices from a company like Apple that swims in a boat load of money, don't they feel any shame at all? I have to say that Dell has also priced their XPS laptops way too high, so to hell with them too.

    Hello @Rasheed187

My post was an obviously failed attempt at sarcasm. I am as disappointed with the dreaded notch as anyone else.

The notch regrettably has taken precious display real estate from the Mac App & Status menu bar. My MacBook Pro was a Christmas gift to me from our oldest son. Else I would likely be running something dual-booting Windows/Linux on a laptop.

I sincerely apologize for the misunderstanding.

OK I see, because you can't fix this with tape, so that's why I was confused LOL. But yeah, it's not only ugly it's even unhandy when you make use of the statusbar a lot. BTW, I did read about rumors that Apple will perhaps still launch two new MacBooks in 2023, namely a heavily anticipated 15 inch version, which hopefully won't have the notch. And even a smaller 12 inch version.

According to rumors, Apple will release the new MacBook Air 15.5 inch in April 2023. Of course, I don't think it will come cheap.

I don't know about you guys but I think the new MacBook Air 15 inch was a huge disappointment, especially design wise. A lot of 15 inch Windows laptop look way more sexy.

Also, no numeric keypad and still this ugly webcam notch, and they will charge you €1800 for this? What's cool is that it's still fanless and has 18 hours of battery life, which is not important to me. I think I will save myself €500 and go for the Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro 15 inch laptop.

There's always Ubuntu, which is better than macOS IMO. Anything's better (and more secure) than Windows.
