    The process was then so unforgiving that I destroyed my iPhone screen in a split second with an irreversible error.

    The catastrophe unfolded even though I called in an expert, Shakeel Taiyab, an independent phone repair technician in South San Francisco, for help. After reading Apple’s manuals and trying the tools with me, Mr. Taiyab said he applauded Apple for trying to empower iPhone owners but had a harsh verdict.

    I must say I have to agree with that:cool: I am myself a Technician fo repairing Surgical Microscopes and I do carry a toolbox with special tools that are probably worth $10,000.00. A couple of my customers told me in the past they were interested to make the repairs themselves. Sure I said, no problem with me but without the collimating device and other tools forget it…
