Couple of comments. First you can't assume that some one else may be doing it the same way as Appguard. Memprotect probably does provide the same protection, but at a much high complexity level. I don't think Sandboxie is doing anything comparable. In the final analysis there is only one thing you really need to know about Appguards memory protection: IT WORKS

How will bugs be reported now that AG has been acquired by another Company?

Is anyone that you know of using MemProtect with AG without conflict?

They merged (basically AG gained more funds and a new market, Japan) but the departments (at the moment) are still the same, and AG's USA offices won't disappear for a good reason , AG is government military contractor.
not need to use both, MemGuard of AG protect the memory as well as MemProtect.

As long as the correct rules/permissions are applied on both sides to avoid conflicts, there should be no issues. I was testing AppGuard a while back for approximately a week while running MemProtect on the same system and experienced no problems. Although as guest stated, there is likely no reason to use two memory protection programs on the same systems since both MemProtect and AG achieve similar goals.

Yes I know it works, I want to know how it works. I assume there aren't that many ways to restrict memory writing/reading, so it shouldn't be that hard to figure out. And I would advice people not to combine MemProtect with AG, who knows what problems this might give.

I was just curious because i'm pretty sure some people from the MemProtect/Bouncer thread had been using them together, and reported problems a few months ago.

I'm not sure how one would configure MemProtect to avoid conflict with AG Memory Protection. The last time I looked at MemProtect you either included a process, or not as part of MemProtect's protection. I don't remember seeing options to fine tune any specific methods used by MemProtect. I guess I will have to go back, and look at it again.

That's good to hear. I was worried that could change since I was informed the Japanese Company basically owns AG now.

How do you think you can research what Appguard is doing.

By PM right after the announcement was made. I wouldn't worry about it. So far it has not caused any problems i'm aware of. I can only hope the bigger budget will make AG develop more active now.

That's what i'm hoping. There has been a lot of request made here that some of us are still waiting for like hash support, blocking by process name without having to specify path, etc..

Sorry, I forgot to answer your question about the name of the company. The name of the company is called, "Blue Planet-works Company".

Ok well I didn't want to go to a yearly sub anyway. Seems like a lot of vender suck you in with a lifetime and then go yearly with a new version or sell out and the product goes down hill. so far the only vender that has stood behind their lifetime is Malwarbytes and waiting to see what Voodoo does.

I'm pretty sure VoodooShield will stand behind their lifetime license as long as Dan owns it.

I have actually been using AG since it's first alpha release days so I have purchased a few different license over the years. I have just not been active lately on the forum because of school. Who knows, I may even apply for a job with Blue-Planet-works Company after I finish with school if they are looking for someone with my skill set.

The AppGuard division is still in transition. It is not an over-night process, but instead is likely to take months for everything to be finalized. At this point it is "wait-and-see" for everybody. When I get definitive infos, then I will post here regarding what will change and what will not change.
