Anyone use Autopatcher instead of the normal Windows update?

    ive used it in the past and found it to be invaluable. its a easy way to update your computer after a fresh Windows install.

    the full releases also includes addons like messenger and flash, as well as numerous tweaks.

    So is this a better alternative for monthly Windows updates compared to updating from the Windows site?

    for dialup users, certainly. for people with broadband, not as much.

    also consider how often u reinstall Windows. if u reinstall very often (or on multiple computers), then using this software will save u time. if u format once a year or something tho, then Windows Update may be sufficient.

    I also wondered about this, so it´s completely safe to use and won´t screw up your system? Because I´m planning to reinstall my system (Win XP SP2 Home or Pro) and I don´t feel like manually downloading all patches. And Windows Update is garbage IMO, funny that a multi billion company can´t even seem to get that right. :gack:

    ive used it without problem. just pay attention to the options u select.

    I normally use it after reinstall Windows and from time to time...
