Doesn't look like a well updated program. According to the website in the link the latest database update was "2008-08-01".
Either the website isn't kept current or the program hasn't updated for 7 months.
    Doesn't look promising to me.

I have no Proof but from first look i would say if its unknown and un-updated and find threats the others miss, its probably a rogue.

IMO, I don't think it's a rogue because ZDNet, Softpedia and Download.com are listing the program on their respective sites, however, I do agree with the Tester, the fact that the product has not been updated in awhile it's troublesome.
    I would stay away.

    It isn't a rogue... >.<

Here's a link to a clean file uploaded to VT to show the engine in action, updated.

Never used it, but it's mainly a Chinese market competitor.

i know AVL mini for very long time ...

they got like year ago huge issue with some mirror(s) of theirs AVL autoupdate being compromised and deploying trojan as part of the update ...

thankfully Avast and other AVs were able to stop it (it's only on demand scanner) before execution ...

i never got response what was the problem and how it was resolved yet it never repeated afterward ...

also theirs websites (all of them) are outdated for years so i'm unable to tell status of the service at all ...

if anyone knows any 'usable' source of informations about AVL news/updates for english user thanks in advance

I tried this several times long ago, and a-squared, antivir and spybot kept giving whole installation file the same old adware/trojan stuff. This was over a period of several years. I would also be interested in any new info on AVL and AVL Mini.
