I'm curious because it is certainly not mentioned frequently. I've read all of the old threads and several points were made both pro and con.

In my recent quest for an x64 compatible, signature based, HIPS-free, non-bloated, no marketing crap antivirus I found I was faced with very few choices. I found only 2 that met my search criteria and Vba32 seemed to be the better choice.

After testing in a VM, I decided to go with the non-beta version due to some options that were removed from the beta. Everything went smoothly in my VM, but the first boot on my real machine was extremely slow. The Welcome screen sat there for several minutes and the rest of the logon process took forever. Once I was finally in, I disabled the startup scan yet things were still very slow. Next, I checked the option to scan only new files. After doing that everything is working fine. I haven't noticed any more slowdowns, even when accessing new files via downloads or folders I haven't previously traversed. I'm not sure how long Vba32 will stay a part of my setup, but so far I'm liking it.
