anyone here running kis beta 8 yet??

    Running just fine here and I agree that the firewall has been improved a lot.
    Like the interface too, but that's a matter of taste.

    Looking forward to the release version. :cool:

    right now it says i can not use it for the beta it says i can only use the beta key.. has anyone got their normal 7 key to work in 8??

    wow i still cant believe how fast my download speeds are now!!!!!!! i am getting over 5000k speeds for each file... 100mb file in seconds!!!! this is nuts with 7 the most i think i saw was 1000k at times

    You can't yet. Beta key is required.

    You can activate in during set up . Just use beta activation

    Trying Kaspersky Antivirus 2009 Beta and this version really improved a lot regarding speed etc. compared to 7.0. Runs great, no slowdown this time! Beautiful and easy interface.
    Any idea when final is due?

    its getting better every build. pre rc2 329 build is out now. still has interface slowing down during full scan.

    click on i agree to download lastest beta version.
    there is a folder at the bottom which says preRC2
    its in that folder. kis and kav are both avalable.

    its strongly reccomended your uninstall reboot and then install pre RC2 so you dont cause any extra issues.

    i always create an image of my normal setup.
    uninstall kis7.0 reboot install kis 8.0 beta report bugs and then restore image.

    Yes, it's the best and easiest way. I don't always do that.....maybe a bit stupid!

    Up and running again.....a few changes in the Gui.
    Is there an option to save all configurations for future installations?

    Press Settings > Protection and you'll find it there. :)
    Whether it saves all settings, I'm not sure, since it's still in beta.

    Thanks for the tip and I'll just try. Yest it works like a charm, everything is saved and this section also gives a restore option. Just great.
