It downloads, installs, install complete, the update icon goes away for about five seconds and then it's back. Went to the update site and it shows the update is needed but 0 bytes. What is going on? Thank You!

I'm having the same problem. I've tried updating several times.

I tried the fix from sans, did google search, followed MS-links, etc. It didn't solve anything! The link from ratchet had me install "Windows Install Clean Up" so as to remove NET-framework first, then the dotnetfx.exe. I couldn't remove NET without "WICU", and once I did everything worked as it should, including having to reboot after installing "MS07-040 patch"o_O All other attempts to re-install 07-040 said install was complete but did not require a reboot (reboot didn't help anyway)o_O

Now WHY hasn't Microsoft posted instructions yet? .... What is UP?! Thank goodness for BelarcAdvisor and help forums!
