    @all

    Acronis has a option called Try&Decide to keep system changes over a reboot (for software test where you sometime must reboot to get it to work) and @ the end of test you have the two options discard changes or keep changes and write it to the system

    Is there any other software with this function?

    While I actually use Acronis, I wouldn't use that function, as it's just to gimmicky for me. I use Macrium Reflect, the full paid version, because the restores are so fast, I can use it as a snapshot program and accomplish the same thing. It has proven totally reliable

    I agree with Peter, Macrium can be used as a snapshot tool. Another alternative might be cloning a virtual copy of your current win installation using wmware's tool (can't remember the name) and use the image in vmware player.

    Timok- you should try Rollback RX, and just use it as an on-demand application. same functionality as Try&Decide, but actually much more elegant.

    Just like Rollback RX, Farstone RestoreIt and AX64 has similar rollback capabilities using snapshots , as well as Toolwiz Time Freeze (this one hasn't been updated for some time,afaik). However this kind of software generally bring more problems than they are worth. I would humbly suggest using another option.

    Acronis Try&Decide is just a one shot type of thing used when trying something out. A snapshot application that is just activated on a one-time basis won't cause issues and would parallel the functionality OP wants.

    I am assuming the user may want to try different software and use the software on and off. I have used all of the software listed in the topic and know how they work,though however I like the idea and quick restores, software rolling back from snapshots always ended in creating some kind of trouble for me. I am just stating my experience, and offering an alternative way, the decision belongs to the op of course.

    In the past I used some snapshot program, but some tried software deeply installed in the system could cause problems also after the snapshot reboot. Better Acronis Try&Decide, I too use it. Anyway, I too would be happy to find some other similar software.
