Any freeware Back-up Utility??

    Comodo backup seemed good when I use it. The only thing I dislike about Comodo is that you can't access apps individually and they're all part of a "dashboard". I don't like that. But the backup utility worked good enough.

    Also, if you're using XP Pro it would come with backup, and if not, you can manually install Backup on XP Home, read the instructions here: http://www.theeldergeek.com/backup_for_xp_home_edition.htm
    (I've never tested XP's backup)

    well i am already using comodo's firewall,let me try its backup as well! i will get back to you guys...

    The best one I ever tried (and still use) is Cobian Backup. It backs up to a Zip image (other choices available), can be scheduled or run manually, and has many other options. I have used it for several years and threw away my commercial programs. Other freeware is OK but not as flexible.

    well lot of good choices,i am trying comodo/cobian/drive image xml..
    and that website of free programs simply rocks...

    I agree - the freeware version is simple and reliable. I also have trialed and like Second Copy http://www.secondcopy.com/. Set up simple profile for each task and schedule it to run as often as you like.
