A few years back, I remember a disk imaging program that could write an image of the OS drive; save it on another partition; and reboot the computer with a chosen image. I believe that Drive Snapshot had that capability. Now that I am running Windows 10 64bit, I wonder if anyone knows of an imager that is like the one I described above. It would certainly be convenient if there was such a program.
Larry, This is the simplest I've used... https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/simple-operations-mode-ifw.397095/ IFW is part of TeraByte Drive Image Backup and Restore Suite.
Thank you Brian. This is very close to what I was looking for, however, I was looking for a reimage directly from the desktop. Like this: use desktop shortcut to open the imaging program choose an OS partition image from a list of images program reboots the computer - reimages the OS partition - reboots to the reimaged OS. My guess is the move to Windows 10 sort of squashed this kind of activity.
Larry, IFW will do that but not in Simple Mode. Double click a desktop icon, the restore will run and reboot to the restored OS.
