I know that Ativir nag screen issue has been discussed so many times here but I just want to share one interesting fiinding. I noticed that if I add avnotify to GesWall application rules as Jailed application, no nag screen apears and update works just fine.

Avnotify is delivered from a different source than the Updates, at this moment there are reports of receiving the "NagScreen" without any Update.

The Classic Update Servers have been completely down
    and reported
Best way to not see avnotify varies with system, MS security seems to work best for most. I enjoy it on my Win98 but WebWasher offers a block for 98.

Blocking with a Firewall often causes a more annoying 'Warning' about that.

    Strangly no updates issues here.
BTW i usually block it with SSM ans via security tab when I was not using SSM.

The problem with AntiVirs auto-updater failing to connect can be fixed by adding the following to your hosts file:
    62.146.66.181 dl1.avgate.net
    62.146.66.182 dl2.avgate.net
    62.146.66.183 dl3.avgate.net
    62.146.66.184 dl4.avgate.net
    80.190.143.235 dl5.avgate.net
    80.190.143.236 dl6.avgate.net

This is a temporary workaround until they get the DNS issues fixed.
