Please contact Customer care for further instructions. This issue can occur with certain Dell notebooks.

Been in touch today. Dell don't appear to know how to fix it. Their suggestions is to reinstall windows 8. Could Eset not actually suggest how to get around the issue, as it's obviously going to be annoying a lot of previously happy users.

Can you at least confirm it's the anti theft that causes it.

At the risk of hijacking this thread (sorry!)...I'm new to this forum and to this product. In fact, I haven't installed it yet. When I do, one of the items it will be installed on is a Dell netbook running Windows 7 Starter. Can I anticipate a possible problem regarding the anti-theft feature?

    Hello,

I don't believe there are any issues with that configuration, but just to be on the safe side, if you are concerned, you should back up any important data before installing the software (which should really be a standard procedure when installing any kind of security software).

    Regards,

    Aryeh Goretsky
