Seeing as i am a diehard XP Professional user and likely to be for some time to come yet my choices are easy, and they go like this but not necessarily in this order.

    SUPERANTISPYWARE PRO

    MALWAREBYTES

    Excellent combo!

I like MBAM a lot, nice and clean GUI, very simple to use and with good detection.

    Malwarebytes.

Very good in removing malware. Cleaned a pc yesterday that had been infected with a rogue AV. MBAM detected & removed it where its big competitor could not find a thing.

Seen that same scenario quite a few times here and where the the resident big name AV had been disabled.

No harm in a follow up scan with SAS either.

None of the above. I don't use any signature based detection software of any kind. With a default-deny security policy, I don't have to be concerned with identifying spyware/malware.

A-Squared - why it has so few votes ? - and SuperAntispyware. My browser is Opera, so I don't need SpywareBlaster or Spybot.

MBAM, SAS and since a few days a-squared 4 Free only. Really good detection rate (A² Free).

    Superantispyware for me.

    Despite MBAM being very popular,
it really never worked well for me.

First time I used it, tons and tons of FPs.

After sending an email to them,
no replies. (this was a long time ago)

I decided to give another shot recently,
then MBAM crashes everytime I want to do a scan.
Another failure for me, ignored my e-mail again.

No offense, maybe it's just me,
It never worked for me. :'(

Although I have a pro lic for Malwarebytes AntiMalware,
I only do an occasional on demand scan.
No need to run in real time.
    At least not here. :D
