After trialling AE version 2.1 for three weeks, I purchased it and had to download version 2.3. I see that the tabs are a bit different in 2.3 and that the icon in the System tray is a tiny bit different. Does anyone know what any important changes were between 2.1 and 2.3, I cannot find anything at the Faronics website.

    Thanks,
    Acadia

Isn't that the same as disable Autorun of CD/DVD drives (via gpedit.msc) or is it stronger ?
For the record : I'm not an IT administrator, I'm something else.

I'd guess that AE's protection is weaker, since it will only stop executables. The autorun feature can be used to launch scripts, which aren't covered by AE.
But maybe I'm wrong and AE effectively disables autorun.
