I would like to use AE as the main feature of my security setup. However, I am not sure what other security software to run with it.
Can I ask AE users what your security set up is?
    Many thanks

However, you should consider your specific needs.

For example, If you have several computers connected as a network,
you may decide you need a router.

Did you trial AE or do you have some experience with it already ?
AE is very strict especially when you set it to HIGH security. It's password protected and read the manual or welcome email, otherwise you won't be able to work with AE, which protects and hides itself very well on your computer.

    Hi,

I used a sandbox in conjunction with an anti-executable, this is a nice free combo:
    - SSM-free (free version has the broadest coverage of all free AE's)
    - WinPooch (Registry, Data Protection and outbound traffic)
    - GeSWall free

    Paid (the easy to use)
    - Online Armour + FireWall
    - Regdefend
    - DefenseWall

    Thanks for the advice.
    I currently use Prevx1 2, KIS 2007 and DW 2.0b6.
I have tried Anti-executable in the recent past. I found it quite restricting compared to Prevx1. In particular, I disliked having to disable my antivirus to update its definitions. However I would like to give AE another go (and use it mainly for surfing protection).
I was thinking of dropping my real-time antivirus and combining AE with windows firewall, Sandboxie or Defensewall/Geswall, Firefox 2.0.0.3.
I note that Kees has also recommended registry protection.

If you check the AE logs to see what has been blocked, you can add the AV folders or files to an exclusion list.
