    Hi again,
I am using Windows Live Mail as my default email program. I am using two accounts in it now---a HTTP account and Gmail. Is NOD32 checking my emails by any means? I am unable to tell if it is.

I will worry about the posts concerning slow down and not using the firewall later. Please let me know if my email is be checked.

    Thank you,
    G. T.

Yes , you cannot become infected :

    1. There is real time file system protection running
    2. Google has very powerful virus and spam filter - no threats can be delivered by the Gooogle account
    3. The other account is most likely second checked by the web-protection
