Anonymous suspects bailed - banned from using online nicknames and IRC

    Anonymous and Lulsec Case - The Guardian

    If they were "Anonymous" what would prevent them from choosing new anonymous names?

    IP addresses and ISP logs. Since they are under conditions of bail they are probably being monitored.

    What they should have done (and for the life of me, I can't figure out why they didn't) is ban them from computers, period. They are the last people you want to let have a computer. Granted they could hop down to the nearest coffee shop or something that has wireless, but it's a start.

    I'm glad somebody did something to restrain these birds.

    BUT if somebody said I couldn't use my id what would I do?

    Just create a new one. Plug in in new location (coffee shop, local library or any handy dandy free guest hook up at restaurant, hotel, bar, pub etc etc.

    They may be being watched now but how long will that last?

    The penalty is too weak, jail time is only way to deal with it.

    But for these 4 guys so there are 4000 more!

    Keep your layers strong, and your BAK images current.

    Change your passwords often! Max them out!

    If they're forced to only use certain computers they could add hardware monitoring.

    Plus their family will be watching them. They will probably only get a desktop anyways.

    You have more faith than I do that any of those things will happen and be effective.

    Probably is not a word I kike in dealing with crooks
