Annoying problem, Hijack this log included

    OK, so everytime I open internet explorer It takes me to the site http://searchpage.cc/1507/
    I've tried everything CWShredder works only temporarily
    As does getting rid of the files with HijackThis
    Ad-Aware Turns up nothing and spybot turns up files that keep coming back

    I'd like to solve this problem urgently as it is a big inconvenience

    First download CWshredder from https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=14086 then Run it
    Close all browser windows, click on the cwshredder.exe then click "FIX" (Not "Scan only") and let it do it's thing.
    Now as CWS installs via the byte verifier exploit in M$ JavaVM, just surfing a page with an infected applet can install it with no user participation. So once you’ve run the above, it is vital that you go here, click Scan for updates in the main frame, and download and install all CRITICAL updates recommended.

    run cwshredder in safe mode as it seems to work better at removing this infection in safe mode

    make sure you use version 1.56.2 or later

    then post a new log

    thanks a lot it seems to have worked for now
    hopefully this won't come up again
    the files were deleted in safe mode
    I was just wondering why I have two rundll.exe's running

    normally that is because you have different drivers runnin g taht need to use that file to start

    it looks like in your case you have the audio & the nvidia graphics drivers using diffferent copies of it, it's quite normal with XP ( if anything is ever normal with windows)
