Android Messages and Dialer apps allegedly sent data to Google

    simple dialler for phone
    simple contacts & simple calendar to a self hosted nextcloud instance
    signal for sms/secure chat

    I live somewhere else geographically. Mobile carriers also retain data here. For me it is different when data is duplicated and send to the other side of the globe.

    You make a valid point. If the data were going to a different country I would be more concerned.
