    1. And the SC Magazine Global Award goes to ... Moscow!

With these words, George Alagiah of BBC News and Lucy Alexander of ITN
News announced that this year KasperskyR Anti-Virus won the coveted
Best Anti-Virus Solution award at the annual SC Magazine Global Awards
ceremony held on April 27 in London. This award confirms the worldwide
popularity of Kaspersky Labs solutions and serves as an excellent
kickoff for the newly released Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus is an acknowledged industry leader, with newly
released version 5.0 primed to confirm user and industry expectations.

SC Magazine called the fifth Global Awards competition "the most
comprehensive and stringent Awards program ever." This leading worldwide
awards program recognises technical excellence and customer satisfaction
across 32 categories. Well over 900 products and services were nominated
this year by approximately 300 companies: the in-depth evaluation
entailing nomination, voting, testing, reviewing and judging took 8
months to complete. The customer-focused process creates professional
guidelines for computer users searching for reliable protection among
the enormous number available security products.

A record crowd of 800 plus IT professionals and journalists attended the
SC Gala Awards Dinner in Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus was nominated in the Reader Trust Awards category
for Best Anti-Virus Solution. Products and services in this category
underwent a multi-level assessment followed by an open vote allowing
readers to choose their favorite products, which makes awards in this
    category the most sought after.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus competed against 13 other antivirus solutions for
Best Anti-Virus, with finalists including well known products such as
Symantec AntiVirus Enterprise, Trend Micro InterScan Messaging Security Suite and Computer Associates eTrust AntiVirus. Readers and users cast their votes for Kaspersky - making it the winner of this year's SC Magazine Global Award.

"This is a great achievement for Kaspersky Labs and confirms the worldwide recognition and excellence of our antivirus solution," noted Eugene Kaspersky, Head of Anti-Virus Research at Kaspersky Labs. Eugene
