    I haven't tried Mint 16...probably will not, but if you say it's the best then I take your word for it. Cinnamon is the best DE out there...no doubt, but I don't like their version 2 offering. For me there's not enough system sounds mapping like available in Ubuntu. Small gripe, I grant you, but still.

    BTW, does Mint still come with two or three video players installed as default like in previous releases?

    i do face sometimes shutdown problems still on 64bit but i still say linux mint rocks and i agree if fuduntu alive would be neck to neck comptition with linux mint

    and for be funduntu would be clear winner because of hardware problem problem i am facing on my machine hope it solved on next kernel released

    please review linux mint 16 xfce base as well i am really impress with this one hope you put more light on it.

    linux mint do have 2 players Totem and vlc by default on cinnamon

    Sigh... I see Slackware missed the list again... ;) ;) ;) :D

    Mint moves to number one on my recommended list for those just starting out. PCLinuxOS was there not to long ago.

    I know I'm a big Slackware user. It's the only Linux distro I'll use. I gave up distro hopping because every time I try something else I reinstall Slackware again.
    So it's a futile attempt to even try anymore.
