Drive imaging is a rather popular subject here at Wilders, so I thought I'd mention another way to do it, which involves not just software to install but building a whole new pc :D

Its Windows Home Server, an OS that turns a pc into a home server and does automatic nightly image backups of all connected pc's. There are a number of online reviews you can read, like this -

    http://blogs.technet.com/homeserver...-home-server-image-based-backup-software.aspx

    http://blogs.zdnet.com/Bott/?p=244

I've just started using one and can't recommend it highly enough. Its so much more than backup, but even for that it beats all the usuals (Acronis, SP etc) is ease of use and automation.

    Ya: interesting product
I sometimes regret getting "my own" set up with NAS on the network, although I've got all the bits I do want set-up. Attempt not to be too tethered to MS ;)

The Home server and HP Media Smart tools together seem to be garnering a very good reputation.
'Link Logger' who might be a good judge @dslreports is very happy.
Haven't seen this mentioned much here yet.
