So Blackspear.. I presently have on all my settings... whenever it gives me a choice for extenstions "on all of my modules", I have checked "scan all files"

I know this is the safest, but in the interest of speed... is it necessary in your opinion to have this checked on ALL of the modules?

If not please tell which one you recommend as not?

The reason I am curious, is right now I can watch AMON and see that its constantly checking my log files as well as "everything"... I suppose I would get an even better speed edge if I just put AMON to scan only extensions?

I was wondering how you feel about it personally for yourself?

I have Nod32 set to absolute maximum everything, including AMON scanning "All files", I simply don't see a slow down at all, period, and I really don't like having anything slow my system down. Ewido's realtime file scanner did, and hence it is disabled...

    Hope this helps...

    Cheers :D

I noticed no change at all in performance elsewhere when I switched AMON from its default setting to scan all files (obviously the change affected AMON). However, I have excluded Sygate Pro and BOClean, not for speed reasons, but simply because there is no sense in having AMON check those files repeatedly. BOClean keeps an eye on itself and on Sygate Pro (as well as many other things).

Yea thanks.. I've seen that one.... I didn't know if blackspear recommended that for those who don't scrutize their computers closely, or whether he really used those settings for himself

    thank...

I do as I say :D And I firmly believe that Nod32 should arrive out of the box at maximum strength, everything set to on and everything tweaked. Should you want to lower your security then it is at you own peril…

    Cheers :D
