Ameana Worm Removal

    My Fathers PC has been somehow infected with the Ameana worm and would like to know how to remove it.

    What happened was that he uninstalled Avira AV for about a week now and I have a gut feeling this worm has sneaked in somehow throught the back door.

    When I re-installed Avira back on last night, this when the probs started. I'm not quite sure though if Avira will remove this worm.

    Not sure, but why don't you try MicroWorld's free eScan on-demand tool (based on KAV engine) until then? If downloaded before May 31, it will scan as well as clean any infection it finds. See below link to obtain it:
