In the next coming years I will probably buy a machine with an AMD CPU. I'm done with Intel after the "Management Engine" debacle. http://www.techrepublic.com/article/is-the-intel-management-engine-a-backdoor/
This Threadripper socket and CPU are so sexy I could spend the money on them even if I don't need all those cores.
Oh PLEASE, Do me a favor, do not insult our intelligence. If it is not malware, why is it shrouded in secrecy! Why didn't Intel proudly announce these new "features" to the world when they implemented it!! Why is the bios setting to turn it off password protected!! All of the above is because they knew exactly what it would be used for. This is just another example of Corporate Malware. All the hackers need to wise up and realize, you don't need to hide on the darknet making secret transactions in bitcoins. You all need to join corporate America, start your own LLC's, figure out a bogus, legitimate sounding purpose for your wares and sell them in good ole US Dollars. Then when it is used to take down the entire worlds banking system, instead of being arrested you can expect a press conference and media reports that start like this; A security flaw in Blackhat LLC's remote management software has been used by criminals to transfer all the money out of the US Federal Reserve. Blackhat LLC CEO, Mr Extreme Haxor said, "This is very awesome, but we are working on a security patch."
