Truecrypt seems to be becoming less relevant to my needs on OSX, in that it cannot do partition encryption on drives without 512 byte sectors at present, and whether this will be addressed is unknown.... I also wonder if and when an OSX update breaks truecrypt, will the devs hurry to fix it?

So I'd prefer to assess alternatives in the cold light of day, rather when I'm stuck/forced to....

What I like about tc at present - ability to encrypt a data drive, or an entire partition, so that it seems the drive is empty or at least no sign of the encrypted partition when the drive is mounted. I'm not looking to fool the NSA here.... :)

Doesn't have to be free software, I use it a lot and would be happy to pay.

Is anyone able to give any recommendations to check out??
