Alternative to Google Calendar

I've used Google Calendar for years and the email reminders have been wonderful! However, since 6 weeks back, I have not received any emails reminders. Due to this, I've missed a few meetings and have forgotten to do several important tasks!

I've tried to rectify with various methods recommended from Google Calendar Help Forum but none work. The reminder does not go to the spam box either - basically it's not sent out and I'm not sure why.

So, I'm looking for an alternative to Google Calendar. Any suggestion?

 

Windows Live calendar is supposed to be recently improved- just not sure it'll ever match google's version. There's a google calendar sync that works well with outlook now, if you have that. I would certainly see if there was some help on a forum before ditching the google calendar.
